"Access to Living"

We are delighted to let you know about the launch of a new service for people with disabilities in Gloucestershire.

From Thursday 16th January 2003, initially for three months but hopefully extended beyond that, Accessibility Gloucestershire is launching our new 'Access to Living' service from the Living and Learning Centre at GL1 - the new leisure centre in the heart of Gloucester.

Access to Living will provide not only a wide range of advice services but, just as importantly, a chance to meet with other people with disabilities in an informal, friendly setting.

If you've not been to GL1 yet, make Thursday morning (from 9 am to 1 pm) a date in your diary and go along. GL1 is fully accessible and the Living and Learning Centre is on the ground floor, near to the main entrance and the café.

GUiDE (the county-wide advice service who normally only deal with telephone enquiries) will be there every other week but we hope that many local organisations will deliver a wide range of services.

Remember, this new service needs your support, so please come along on Thursday morning and meet new friends!
